Shots of the plane from Video 10 (small scope): MGI videowave was used to extract jpg files from Video 10.jpg around 2 min 31 s in. Then xv was used to convert the raw jpg files to fits format, whereby the RGB information is converted to greyscale. The program fv was then used to display the intensity according to a blackbody (linear). The effective temperature is controlled by clicking on the cursor and positioning it on the image. For all images the cursor was positioned on (450,111). The grid lines were turned off and the file saved in postscript format. Then the files were converted (unix convert) to jpg, and the borders cropped using xv. -------------------------------------------------------- For ingress.jpg, frame was taken from Video ingress.avi at 6:39:40.5 BST (24:00:00 in ingress.avi). First sizes was doubled with xv, then save as fts, then adjust blackbody spectrum to pixel coords (184,120), save as ps, convert back to ingress_24_00.jpg. Same procedure for egress.jpg, frame at 13:47:00 in egress.avi. Blackbody adjusted using pixel coords (162,120). Save as egress_13_47.jpg.
