The current status of: EMC histograms from BBSIM, SimApp, Bear, processed by

compared to reference histograms;

plotted;

used for statistical tests.

Reference histograms based on 7.11.2d available for several run types available (Theresa Champion, 16 March 99). (Newer references?)

How does the EMC look and what can be improved?

• Some anomalies appear in the plots and/or statistical tests, but many are explainable. Analysis underway. For example, reference not always available yet from same run type (solid = tau+tau-, open = BBbar):
  
• Choice of histograms under revision (although currently reasonable).
• Suggestions for statistical tests: Kolmogorov-Smirnov overrated(!?) For example, the clear discrepancy in the tails below is not spotted: solid points = release 7.11.1d, open points = reference from 6.10.6a, run 071500 (J/Psi K0S). P(s) = 23.96%.
  
• A test is done on the normalization of the histograms. Sometimes the result of this test does not agree with what is seen on the plots.
• Suggestions for improving summary tables, e.g. statistical errors of computed means, standard deviations; total entries (expected, found), etc. (-->CH.)
