Church 5: St Paul's Addlestone

Passing a cemetary, we carried our bikes over a foot bridge, and took a cycle path across Addlestone Moor to St Paul's. Here we received a warm welcome and offers of refreshments. St Paul's suffered a severe fire a few years ago, in which the west end and much of the nave were lost. In repairs after the fire they took the opportunity to build on some extra facilities. Thus the west end of the church is new, the nave is a mix of new and old, and the orginal sanctuary with rood screen survives at the east end.
