It is freely available in case you have your own PC and would like to install it. To download the latest Java Development Kit (JDK), go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html, scroll down to Java SE 6 Update 27 (or the latest update) and click on the download button for the JDK. Choose the appropriate version for your computer and operating system and follow the instructions carefully. Unfortunately, support for the download and installation of software on your own computer is beyond the scope of this course.
