Find out which group you will be working in,
wich experiments you will be carrying out and
when, here.
description of the experiments
Some of the experiments you will be carrying out in this module require
light tables and Sky Survey plates. You should obtain the scripts for
these experiments from the Lab Technicians (or find a copy
here).
In addition, you will be doing two computer-based experiments:
- The Hubble Redshift-Distance Relation (half-day experiment)
- Photoelectric Photometry of the Pleiades (full-day experiment)
The computer-based experiments are based on the CLEA (Contemporary
Laboratory Experiences in Astronomy) software. For each one of the
experiments there is a script ("Student Guide") that you should also
obtain from the Lab Technicians.
