Search for charginos and neutralinos in e+e- collisions at s ~183 GeV and the limit on the lightest neutralino
D Hutchcroft

Abstract
A search for charginos and neutralinos has been made in the data collected with the ALEPH detector at centre-of-mass energies close to 183GeV. No signal has been found and chargino and neutralino production has been excluded for masses close to the kinematic limit over a large region of the MSSM parameter space. The interplay between the chargino, neutralino and slepton exclusion domains in the MSSM parameter space allows to set a lower limit of 26GeV/c2 on the mass of the lightest neutralino for all sfermion masses.
