| Abstract |
| General detector design issues are discussed in the context of a future linear collider. The detectors presently being studied for 1998/9 workshops organised separately by European, American and Asian groups are overviewed. Emphasis is placed on detector design concepts and motivating physics processes. Some specific sub-detector options are covered in some detail. |
