Search for Supersymmetry

Seminar given at the Institute of Physics, Georgia

D Hutchcroft

Abstract
The seminar gives a brief introduction to CERN and the ALEPH experiment. The standard model is introduced and the ALEPH measurement of the W mass using 4 jet events shown as an example of LEPs contributions to measurements of the standard model. Supersymmetry is also introduced and many of the ALEPH searches for both the Minimal Supersymmetric extension to the Standard Model and other possible Supersymmetric models. Limits are presented for specific searches.
