PPARC–sponsored ILC workshop

More than 130 particle and accelerator physicists from America, Asia and Europe met at the John Adams Institute for Accelerator Science at Royal Holloway, University of London in June 2005 to work on the International Linear electron-positron Collider (ILC). Three intensive days of talks and discussions, in blazing hot weather, centred on the ILC’s beam-delivery system with additional sessions on superconducting RF technology and the damping rings. This first ILC European Regional meeting was sponsored by PPARC and by the European FP6-funded EUROTeV and CARE-ELAN schemes.
