Glen Cowan 19 July 2002 Observation Notes Solar drift scans were made on 19 July 2002 around noon using the LX-200 with the Baader solar filter and also including B, V and R filters. The roof temperature was 21 degrees. The sky was clear throughout. The data were taken using the QuickCam CCD and StudioZero program. The following parameters were the same for all scans (same as the data set taken 15.7.02 except for exposure, as noted below). frame size: 160 x 120 frame rate: 1 per second decompression: OFF contrast: 255 saturation: 255 brightness: 127 white balance: 127 For the drift scans, "none" for filter means that only the Baader AstroSolar filter was used. B, V and R refer to the Schuler filters (from the UBVRI set). run start filter exposure gain file comments --- ----- ------ -------- ---- ---- -------- 1 11:47 none 63 255 sun_19_7_02_1.avi clear 2 11:52 none 63 255 sun_19_7_02_2.avi 3 11:58 B 84 255 sun_19_7_02_3.avi 4 12:03 B 84 255 sun_19_7_02_4.avi 5 12:07 V 84 255 sun_19_7_02_5.avi 6 12:10 V 84 255 sun_19_7_02_6.avi 7 12:15 R 84 255 sun_19_7_02_7.avi 8 12:18 R 84 255 sun_19_7_02_8.avi The data are in the dome PC under c:\cowan\19jul02 and have been copied to www.pp.rhul.ac.uk/~cowan/astro/19jul02.
