We present a preliminary measurement of the branching fraction for B0>D*-a1+ decays
recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at
SLAC. The data sample consists of 20.6 fb-1 collected at the Y(4S)
resonance and 2.6 fb-1 off-resonance. Signal events have been selected using a partial reconstruction
technique, in which only the a1+ and the slow pion from the
D*- decay are identified. A signal yield of
18400 ± 1200 events has been found, corresponding to a preliminary branching fraction of
(1.20 ± 0.07(stat) ± 0.14(syst))%.
